Ann Grove, CIPP/US, is president and lead consultant for Logical. She founded Logical Writing Solutions, Inc., in 2000. The name was a play on words because so many consulting solutions defy logic. Ann is typically Logical's only employee, though Ann engages consulting collaborators, editors, and specialty resources as required to achieve desired outcomes.
Among her accomplishments, Ann has helped several large organizations comply with a complex matrix of global, federal, and state legislation. Through those experiences, she was inspired to acquire a privacy certification and a service management certification.

Ann's career started in newspaper journalism. She wandered into marketing for civil and structural engineers before discovering fulfillment for both sides of her brain in technical communication. Ann has taught technical communication at the community college level, and she speaks passionately in various forums about topics including successful communication consulting and strategic use of social media.
In 2012, the Society for Technical Communication named Ann an Associate Fellow, in honor of her contributions to the profession. That same year, she became a Certified Information Privacy Professional. It was a good year, but Ann says every year is a good year as long as she is writing. She recently became ITIL Foundation certified as a result of work with a regional health system. She is also certified in Information Mapping, a method used to efficiently analyze, organize, and present technical information.
Ann holds a bachelor's degree in mass communication from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, with a concentration in journalism, and completed additional studies in advanced math and science at Lafayette College and Villanova University.
