Feeling bad about your checkbook?
Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 06:25PM Today, a friend was feeling bad about the economy and his career prospects. He is a vibrant and wonderful professional who has been caught in an economic Perfect Storm.
But he found some encouragement in these thoughts and perhaps so will you:
This is a time for courage, which requires self-discipline. Please don't allow your happiness to be too closely tied to your checkbook. Your success or failure in life can't be entirely measured by your account balance. Its status at this single moment in time is one small piece of data, which, when taken in isolation, could deceive, so I hope you can step back for a moment and see the talented colleague known by those who recommend you.
Have a blessed day!
